Honest answers
We are too — most of us building Plan B are PANS parents. We charge to cover what the AI costs us each month (it’s real money — Claude usage). The tiers are intentionally far below integrative-medicine norms ($300–600/visit, $200–500/mo memberships). If $19/mo is still out of reach, email us — we keep scholarship spots open.
A unit of AI work. Synthesis refresh = ~400 tokens, Minta message = ~150 tokens, lab parse = ~100 tokens. We use them so heavy users pay proportionally, not flat — and so light users aren’t subsidizing them.
You see your balance at the top of the dashboard. Before any action that would push you over, we ask — “this will use ~400 tokens. Continue?” If you want more, $5 buys 500 tokens. No subscription bump, no auto-renewal trap.
Because practitioners are often the ones making a living off these families. We’re not subsidizing them. A practitioner with 30 patients pays $149/month — roughly 8× what a single mom pays — because they get 8× the volume. Same structure, no favoritism.
